Apparently, th squadron leaders made sure that all of their friends got the fighter rides and anyone they didn't personally know got bombers because "all of the fighter slots are maxed".
If you have to balance, then why wasn't it balanced as people logged in? Why does someone logging in10 minutes before the time required take a back seat to someone tome one who was there 15 or 20? Why have the first team to sit-in given all the best cards? Most games have rules for this. I switched sides and got a similar treatment. "Uh our squad has all the fights - u get to be our bait."
Every single snapshot I've joined has been ruined by either a crashing arena, an improper configurati0n, or a dipstick control freak favoring his friends and treating the rest of the people like they don't really matter.
One I went on had a 3-month player leading an attack mission and he didn't know a vbase from an airfield. The nightime t34 vs panzer fight had to take the all time waste-of-time award. Couldnt see anything, then got discoed and couldnt get back in.
