2 things...

1. Well said Guppy. Some people tend to forget it's only a game.

2. A big fat to the boys with Aces & Eights. I've had nothing but great times flying against them since they formed up.  I got into a great fight with 8Balls awhile back and we have been friendly ever since.

WOW Blue! Says a lot about the level of honor and respect you hold within yourself taking the time to post a thread like this.

This month Nisky was trying to keep his K/D ratio low and he's definitely a credit to the squad along with so many others we have with the same mindset.

He's not only a good pilot but a funny guy as well and were proud to have him even if he can't handle his hot peppers

Great post Guppy!  :aok   And there were numerous times in real war where an injured enemy was not shot down.
to Nisky and the A8's for honor & class.  I've battled them many times and they're a class bunch!

:aok

A BIG Salute to all of you.

You are all great to fly against and with.
We (the A8's) have so many times seen other squads bashing people and squads alike on 200. We take pride in the fact we are respectful enough not to do the same. You wont find all of us as chivalrous as A8Nisky for letting a kill walk away, but, most of us do and appreciate it when it happens for us as much as ya'll do I'm sure. ;)
Though this is a game and its played by people of all races, ages, skill levels and basic moral veiws, the object is to have fun. Its hard to have fun when people act like arrogant fools towards one another. Thats why Honor and Respect has been so crucial to our squads survivability. Many people and squads in the game have hated and disrespected us from the begining, now it seems most of them now either like us or still hate us, but, hate us with respect. Either way, we are still here.
Again, thank you all for the kind words. Its nice to hear positive recognition every now and then.

SALUTE to you all.
A8Chewie

By the way Fester... we very rarely fly A8's, lol    :lol :aok

A couple of months back I was fighting it out with a bish I am friends with. We go at it for a bit until we are both missing parts and whatnot and my friend is now bingo ammo. So we pull along side each other to take some pics right on the deck over the ocean. As we are busy chatting and taking pics, I get bounced by an unseen bish and go down in flames. It was pretty damn funny.

My point is that after playing this for awhile, you will find there are many people who are friends with and have respect for the nme. We enjoy duking it out, shooting each other down, and occasionally letting a guy fly home. As with any thing in life, you have some who are too full of themselves and have an inflated sense of self-importance and they can wear on you and make the game less enjoyable. Pay those folks no mind and make friends with the others. You won't be disappointed.

Pretty simple really.  Treat other people how you would like to be treated in the same situation. One of the best sticks in the game told me that my first month here.   Glad to hear of one of the A8's doing so.

Very cool thread we all have here.

The Aces & 8's are very fun to fight.  Other players seem to enjoy their presence as well by the talk I hear on country channel whenever the A8's are trying to capture an airfield of ours.

A8's.

Nice job Nisky.
Time's fun when you're having flies.

Nice one!

What at first hooked me up for the flight sims, was in fact the old European Air War played in the MSN Lobby. Instead of the usual Counter strike attitude one sadly experience in the Aces High sometimes, I was intrigued by the general grown up behavior that reflected in to the fights as well. You knew when you had won and there was no glory in making an additional point by wasting your ammo to the still flying wreckage.

Of course AH is so different in nature and the circles much larger that one can not expect to have similar behavior here - maps are not won by avoiding vulching etc. But then again those small gestures are surprisingly refreshing to experience sometimes.

Keep it going!  :)

Ahhh, to each his own.  If you log onto this game and present yourself as a target to me I am going to do my best to kill you, and I expect the same in return.  Thats why I play the game.  Busted wing?  Engine blown out....too bad.  Try to survive.  Ive landed many a busted wings and dead sticked into many base fights, lots of times I make it, lots of times I dont.  I love that challenge.

Since it's a game, might as well leave him the challenge of trying to get it home or get it down.
====
Getting past the aggressor and landing kills IS part of the challenge.  Not this BS fly by, dipping the wings with a french salute.  Screw that.  If I cut people slack so they could go land their busted ride then I am not playing the game the way I think it should be played.

To each his own.

I get your point.  Heres mine: If you didn't want this thread open to comments perhaps a private message would have been better?

Also, I'm not seeing an argument here, just a small free form discussion on a sub topic inspired by your original thread.
