Bye-bye slow speed dial-up!!
« on: January 02, 2008, 08:03:59 PM »
I'm happy. Thursday of next week I'll be getting a faster dial-up connection! Not sure if it'll be DSL speed, but anything faster than 37.2 Kbps is great for me! Maybe now I'll have less lag on AH2! *claps* :D

I will, when (and if) I get it. Last time they said they'd get us faster connection speed we waited 3 years and then they said we were outside the limited range for it. I'm hopin this time is for real.

Reason I ask is unless you shotgun 2 modems on 2 lines I thought 56K was the max speed for dialup. Inquiring minds want to know.

bit to Byte conversion? 3.72 KB/sec (whereas he said 37.2 Kb, KB != Kb) sounds right for a typical 38400 connection.
