West Virginia and Oklahoma Univ game

That was a pretty darn good game but I have to say that W Virginia dominated it from the beginning. It's a shame that OU had so many penalties.

I do have a question though, they mentioned several times in the game that W Virginia's coach was an interim coach. What happened to their old head coach?

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Ditchin Rich fled WVU for Michigan..

Do you believe this guys just had a 5 minute meeting with his players saying nothing more than.. Guys ive taken the job as Head Coach at Michigan good luck in your Bowl Game..

The fact he is being sued by the University for 4 million dollars for breaching his contract is is some sort of consolation though :D

After all the talk and hype about "Im a Mountaineer and I want to finish my career here at WVU"... HOGWASH!!!!!!

The team sure held up their side of it. I'd say they had no problem with their "interim" coach.

Sounds like the old coach sure had some issues. Bailing like that was a no class act. He could have had a bowl game win under his belt right now.

ESPN just posted a picture of Bob Stoops on the OU sidelines during the 4th quarter.

What was up with the announcer constantly commenting on the "nice legs" of the WV players?

Last year's Fiesta Bowl was probably the best football game on any level I've ever watched.

Something about seeing OU getting clobbered just puts a huge grin on my face.  Especially when it's on prime time tv!

My beloved Sooners have proven they are, once again, the Sooners. They have once again left me in a state of complete and udder ridicule at my place of employment. Squaddie (and Okie) told me today that Stoops now has to eat soup from a box; seems he looses everything in a bowl.

They had 12 penalties when I turned it off to watch the news at 10pm. They've now lost the last 4 of their last 5 bowl trips. Ho-Hum.

*sigh*

:cry

As sweet as this was, it can't compare to my unranked Horned Frogs whipping #7 OU 17- 10 on September 3, 2005, Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, Norman, OK on national TV! Biggest upset in 45 years. :rofl

Honestly I didnt think the Mountaineers could win, especially after all the talk leading up to it.
I read on Yahoo that 82% of Bowl Pick em' users picked OU to win.

Just like the Sugar bowl two years ago, The Mountaineers really changed the face of the Big East. Hopefully next year we will go all the way to the BCS Title Game.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Just as Barry Switzer said before the game, OU brings out the best in their opponents. Its an honor to play well and possibly beat the Sooners. They make underdog teams come through and play their best. Hats off to WV, they played very well. Its not so much that the OU offense tanked but that the WV defense was just perfect.

:aok
