I am sure by now u have seen the replys on your post. My advice is do not let this discourage or get to u.

Some of the advice these guys are trying to give u is not trying to insult u.

I also am not trying to bash u but alot of times when u make a post on these threads u are succeptable to getting hammerd (knows from first hand experience).

If u are comfterble with the way u fly then by all means stick with it, but i suggest trying to master your gunnery better. However if u really want to learn how to totally dominate a fight when u dont have a single advantage then now is the time to start learning.

There is always a nice group of guys around that will help. I would actually be glad to help u and take u into the DA and show u about everything I know but I cant because i am leaving today. but since u are a rook ask some of the A8s or 31 tommcatters or just naturally look for the people that everyone else is saying he is awsome stick.

Most of the guys I learned my tactices from dont even like me LOL and I have never cracked open a ACM book, however I did learn my airplanes and that is what helped me out alot because I knew how to engage the planes correctly.

but please dont rely on your kill to death as a measure of your skill. last tour i had a k/d of 2.6 and k/s of 1.9 because i decided to stay in every fight till the death.

However the tour befor that I had a k/d of about 10 and a k/s of about 4.

basicly all i did different was fly a little more safe and come home alot more. I was also landing with anywhere from 10-28 kills each time i came home, and is spent the entire tour in the number 2 fighter position until dextur came out of knowere to take it from me.

My point is score really dont mean crap, but it can show that someone does have some skill, i ususally credit anyone with a k/d over 1.0 as having some descent knowledge of flying.

but like i said dont let any of what happened last night discurage u, ive been beaten up like that befor myself. Just last night i dove down on stang to clear a friendlys six and overshot right infront of him and he got a easy kill, made me feel like a tard. I even hung myself out to dry to try to get away from him.

but if I happen to catch u on in 5 months or so i will glady offer any advice u might want.

U took that totally out of context there buddy, and I wasnt the one that did the insulting. if anything this thread was just to get is attention and say that im sorry he feels that way about it. Im sure most would agree with me, if it got to him enuf to post on the BBS about it then clearly he was upset and that was not my intentions, my intentions were for him to learn something.

But as we all know sometimes u really have to have your butt handed to u befor u actaully get what flying is all about in this game.

trust me I have been in his exact position befor. once apon a time i was a **** pilot who went to the DA alot and got OWNT, and tried to find excuses(he hoed me, he had a better plane and the likes) but then i spent time in the DA just trying to have fun and thats when i upgraded from a **** Pilot to an official maggot.

Honestly the thing that helped me most was when they added the furball area in the DA, and i was going up against 2 and 3 people at a time.

and when it got routine that i could shoot down 2 cons that were engaged with me then it shows me theres something to be said about that little circle. I recommend everyone spend some time there.
