I'm not 100% if it's just that simple, if it is then yea of course..  I thought bails, ditches and discos were all added in and had various % vs a straight up kill or death. So that's what makes it more complicated I think.

As a side note I jumped in last night started rolling down the runway and had another disco/crash. So I'm up to 5 now. :cry

I'm going to have to reinstall my OS. Vista is getting kicked to the curb as it's been nothing but trouble. I started to do it last night and just reload XP but wouldn't you know it. The only floppy drive I had laying around is bad, so I can't load my SATA/Raid drivers.

That's another gripe with MicroSucks. The only thing I ever need a floppy drive for is to load SATA drivers when installing a OS. It never fails by the time I need to reinstall the OS, the floppy drive has gone bad from not using it.

That was the only good thing with Vista, it had the SATA drivers loaded on the DVD.

Landings and Ditches do not count as deaths.  Everything else is 1 death for the purposes of K/D ratios.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

(From the help pages)

Kills per Death = TotalKills / ((Discos * 0.5) + Bails + Captures + Deaths + 1)

I think the only additional complexity might come in that a disco with NO damage (no kill awarded) might be counted as a disco, while a Disco after taking a ping (kill awarded to another player) might be counted as a Death instead, but other than that it's relatively straight forward as you can see.

Yea I'm sure most of them counted as deaths..I've only actually died 5 times this tour. The first 4 times were right in a row but then the 5th was during one of ghi's 60 bomber missions. I had 8 kills and ghi shot me down after I killed one of his bombers.

The first 4 crash/discos all happened while I was fighting other cons. I think only one time had I been hit at all, but still had no damage but all of them were within enemy dar with cons around. So Im' sure someone was awared the proxy's.

Last night was the first time it didn't count as an actual death. I had just logged on and wanted to try my luck, so I jumped in a plane and started to take off. The game crashed just as I got airborne, but seems it didn't give me a death.

I don't disco anymore. been that way ever since I nagged my cable company to replace the drop line to my house and repair the hub outside.

I recomend getting cable or if you have cable have them fix your stuff.

I went from discoing daily to no discos at all.

HTC's servers are solid. if you can get to them and get a stable line on your end you might never disco.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

It's a PC issue Fester, for what ever reason my Windows Vista has flipped out this week. I dunno what's up with it, but it keeps crashing any program I run including AH2.

I had planned on going back to XP, so this is just forcing the issue. The game was actually crashing, but it was recording as a disco.

If I wanted to score potato my disco numbers, all I'd have to do would be to call my house on my cell when I'm playing.

Well I hadn't built a new PC in a long time, and the last one I had to install the SATA drives for XP. I found out on newer mobo's you no longer have to install them, as it's already in the mobo.

(call me dumb)

As a side note, the reason you can't install  them via CD or DVD is because XP wont let you pick where to pull them while installing. It looks in the defualt A: drive and there is no way to get around it, other than slipstreaming them on the windows CD.

As a side note, I've now found out the BSoD were not a resualt of Vista because the system keeps doing it while trying to install XP.

Vista was crap anyway as it was causing other issues, but it seems I have a bad piece of hardware.

ha
I had 5 last night.
I used to have some major issues with consistent packet loss but I worked with with my ISP about it, and they did address the problem. Unfortunately cable is not available in our area.
We have had bucketloads of rain in the last few days (weeks!) and there has been minor ro moderate flooding of some surrounding areas. I find in heavy rain our line quality suffers.
I can't wait until Optus get into the game and Hellstra will be forced to do something about the quality of their service.
