TURN OFF COLLISIONS.  Everyone is tired of hearing everyone complain about the collisions.  If it favors one and harms the other, then it is not fair and shouldn't be a factor in the game.  If it is just a game and not real, then it shouldn't matter if we fly threw one another, just TURN IT OFF!  It was off when I started playing this game, just turn it back off please!

it needs to be on because if it wasnt 163 and 262 would dive on you an fire from almost 2 feet away

heres a solution, Do not ram the other frikkin plane!

Your FE sees the collision and assigns damage to your plane, same for the other fella. So if you hit him but his FE doesn't see a collision, you get damage. Vise Versa.

I'm not.  If it favors one and harms the other,No it doesn't.  then it is not fair and shouldn't be a factor in the game.  Its perfectly fair. Don't fly into other ac and you have little to worry about.

AFAIK, it has never been off in the MAs.  Therefore, I would surmise you simply picked up some very bad habits while flying in the 8-player-no-realism-whatsoever arenas.  Learn to shoot from farther away from your target instead of trying to fly through them, and you will not collide.

The only change I would make would be to record the collision ONLY if both Front Ends see it.

Lately with most of my accidental collisions I actually get both messages, I hit him and he hit me. 99.9% of the time I sort of see it coming also.
I for 1 have 0 complaints about the collision model.
