Makes a good argument supporting wrag's case.  An academic article, well reasoned, backed up with facts, history and statistics.  

Not that Nilsen needs an argument or facts... we're the ones that are "indoctrinated" :)

Perhaps I've misread what Nilsen posted but I took it as he intended a joke.

Partisan's can be very effective in warfare-Just having them in an area can tie down occupying forces' that would normally be used in the front line.

You could ask The Germans (On any front they fought on in WWII), The Japanese, or the Italians' from that period. You could ask the British Redcoats' during the Revolutionary war.

(Hopefully, all the other responses' to your post are as nice as this one.)
