Though indirectly related, I would add that sometimes 2 accounts are to blame for the bull that was going on in LWB last night.
The nits had an air base near an mne port (bish I think). The nits were putting on a herculean effort to defend the base against a CV attack, I was there helping. At one point, I realized the CV must be in range of one of the 8” base guns as it was within tank shot range of the town. Since there was no shots coming from the gun, I tried to get into the gun, and noticed it was occupied. Until we sank the CV via other means the gun was occupied and silent. Strangely enough, at about the time the CV respawned at the port, the gun was available.
This could have been a second account with a weak minded player holding up our defense of the base by gaming the game.
I am thinking about getting a second account just so I could have sat in that gun until the CV returned, ruining the cheap tactics of a individual/squad/chess peice that can’t win any other way.
Btw it did happen again. Just about the time the CV was near the base, I couldn’t get into the gun, and it wasn't firing. I logged in frustration.
If that map comes back (it changed sometime overnight). I will lead a mission to take the base, and sit in that gun all night if I have to.
There are lots of ways to game the game, but only those who are childish use them. Winning with those tactics proves you are only smarter than the game, not the better player. Imagine if you will, just how good this game could be if the designers could focus their time on improvements, instead of closing gaps because people can't play within the spirit of the rules.
Yes, I am bitter. It's unaddressed issues like this that will cause people to leave the game, then there will be no game.
