Excellent film. What's with the massive goon drops? Last night the evil axis was pushing goons out onto their own base from hangar based C47's. This a new tactic?

I have no idea; I have watched the Allied do this for about a week now; it appears to have no effect what so ever in preventing a base capture.  Must be the children playing around.

That was the biggest goon drop I had ever seen, the allies brought in something like 9 C47's full...was awesome.

Some think this will counter enemy troops destroying the maproom. :D

Can someone give a definite answer on whether hangar troop dropping is a tactic that produces any results?

...and "some" aren't too bright either. :)

Dropping friendly troops at a friendly field does nothing. Beyond cluttering up the field. :D

I'm not sure but I think the record was set by Ripsnort in 2002 or 2001 while as a bish... they dropped so many troops on a VH we were defending it booted everybody out of the arena... the whole 200 of us back then.  I think there was film or a couple of screenshots of that historic moment...

It can also cause players with lower end systems to stutter down to unusable frame rates... (or so I was once told).

There was another one a while back in the MA (not this split arena stuff) and there was like 100 goons and I think it crashed the game or something.  Will see if I still have some shots of it.
