How do you make the bomb sights work on the JU-88 and the B-26

Open doors and get speed and alt steady about 15-20miles out. F6 to get in the bomb site, Press U to enter calibration mode, bring up your map and hold shift while clicking on your taget to set your target alt. (I try to zoom all the way in on my map so I know Im getting it right.) From what I remember you have to calibrate on the target, but Im not sure if you still have to here.

I haven't been calibrating on the target, but you have to make sure you hold that crosshair steady and have a steady speed- I dropped perfect on one drop and missed by nearly a mile on the next. Its tricky.

After you hit 'U' to get calibration window, hold down the 'Y' key for at least 10 seconds for accurate calibration.
The instructions are in the top left corner.

Use your rudder trim keys to adjust heading - not stick or ailerons.

Recalibrate 'U' & 'Y' several times to get accuracy. You wont miss :-)

And don't forget to open the doors :-)

Bombsights now auto-calibrate in the arena. The maps too small for bomber pilots to calibrate.

That is the only arena where it was in use too.

Personally I think there's plenty of time/space to calibrate. Auto takes all the fun out of it.
Everybody goes on and on about historical plane sets. What about historical bomb sites eh?

My buff guys are not pleased with the auto bomb site calibration; guess it's kind of like giving them a bicycle with out a baseball card clicking in the spokes.........

I prefer the easy method. I just cant get the sight from moving left to right the other way.

Don't worry, the next map we use (if it's bigger) will DEFINITELY have the precision bomb sights. It's the standard and you need to be careful for what you wish for.. not only will you have to do the calibrate for speed, you'll have to pick the alt

That's what you had the second night the bombers were enabled, the old click the clipboard, track a spot on the ground... it was your standard in the AvA up until now.
