Clipboard strangeness
« on: January 22, 2008, 01:39:35 PM »
So I bought my new PC and I`ve been trying to figure things out offline again.

One thing that has me going insane is that when I click things like roster and also try to scale my stick, the 2nd page of the clipboard is off and floats out at like 45 degrees from the main clipboard and I can`t click anything on it.

How the !"!"!"/$!! do you fix this

I have the same problem about 1 in 3 times i log on, suspected it was video drivers, but can't pin it down.

Make sure all drivers are updated, perhaps delete the video config file (forget it's exact name video9 maybe?)

The only way i can get off the ground if this has happened is to reboot :(

if you guys are running vista you have to run the game in WIIN98 mode. Goto windows explorer, right click on the AH.exe file and select properties. Click compatibility and set it to run in win98.

Also if your running the AMD dual core CPU make sure you are using the update for ir listed at the top of the technical support thread in one of the stickies.

There is no AMD dual core fix for vista... that's why it must be run in win98 compatibility mode.

In XP, you can install the fix and then not have to use compatibility mode.

Also, the video file is in PROGRAM FILES\HTC\ACES HIGH II\SETTINGS\video8.cfg

Try deleting that and it will regenerate when you load the game.  You'll probably have to reset your video setting for AH though.

There is no dual core fix for either in vista, newer drivers aren't always better. A spinning clipboard isn't usually a video problem, and reseting the video8 file most likely won't help.
