lately in the morning i have been calling people to fight in the DA. why? i get better fights .and i have been seeing some great fights. all 1v1 . sometimes i win sometimes i lose. but i walk a way a better pilot for it. it gets old in the MA. how many times can u get cherried by a spit or la. just zooming in stealin kills. integrity in the MA is pretty low. and when i do leave the DA i usually have a new respect for the person i was dueling and hopefully visa versa. maybe for some its a chest thumping splurge of testosterone but for me i look at dog fighting as an art and wanna duel another artist. and not get cherried by some clown painting by numbers.

1 vs 1 are fine and can improve your skills. But, the only way you'll truely get better is to fly in a multi bandit furball. It only makes since  if your having to track multiple cons in a running fight you'll improve on 1 vs 1 sets. I find it easier to fly in MW because when your in a 1 vs 3 fight your usually not having to watch some 2 or 3 more 2K higher licking their chops.

I have been chalenged and have given challenges to the DA, I have won and lost, but the one thing that seems to remain constant for me is this:

No matter why the challenge was issued or how hot the tempers have flared, during the DA session (and after) both parties have come out with a bit more respect and even comradrie, and the original "reason" for the fight is lost.

All of a sudden we are sharing advice and even get/give a when seen in the MA.

If your having trouble with the way things are 'going down' for you or with certain others, just remember.....

"If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got".......

all, good luck, see you in the air and all that nicety stuff

There are still some out there Shane ... not as many as we use to have ... but there are some coming up on the horizon.

You equate manhood with inputs to a joystick hooked up to a computer monitor.

For what it is worth I believe DA and MA cannot even be compared to each other.  (For the sake of the following statements consider ACM as the classic dogfighting since that is the way most people think of it.  The arguement could be made that an aircraft successfully bouncing an unaware player is also ACM.)

DA=1v1 ACM.

MA is about tactics and situational awareness and decision making.  ACM does not even come into the equation unless you make a mistake with one of them.

So in the MA I think of ACM as more of a CYA than as a goal in and of itself.

When I first started I didn't know what a ho was much less that is its frowned upon in the game. It would have been much more helpful for some one to let me know one better way to merge and maybe an acm or two. The other day one of the top players hoed me and told me it was my fault because I did a lazy Merge. Again no help. I even ask " how can I merge better". NO reply the guy just logged. You better pilots out their take it personal because you assume that we do it on purpose all the time. Not that we could use some help to learn some acm and merges.

The more your rant the more you get the same, because you don't help. If you want some better fights. Try helping.

I'm sure you want to tell me to go to the TA..... Thats where you learn at.
Well you will just have to fly against noob idiots like me.

Oh one more thing some  guys couldn't explain what they do or  how they do it anyway, they just fly by the seat of thier pants and throw in some fancy terminoloy.

I would be happy to learn from you anytime.

SkyRock is a good guy. He was taught me a lot from only a few times in the DA. He is a great teacher and he is able to make something that seems difficult, easy to learn.

Good guy in my own opinion.

Normally i go to the DA when someone makes me mad but by the time of the first fight it is in the past and were just their for a good time and to learn new things.

I have had some what I consider to awesome fights with Batfink in the DA.

What i like about them mostly is the joking back and forth and that there is no animosity or trash talking when its over.

He usually points out the things I did wrong or the few and far between things I have done correctly.

For me, during the fight I have the whole 'can't breath, sweating profusely' reaction and I am thrilled when i see his name on the roster in the DA for the chance to try again.

big to batfink and the class he brings with him to the game.:aok
