Try out the new AvA.  They've done some new stuff in there, including maps that are great. I suggest you take a look and join a side.

The side I refer to is allied :P

So, what's new in AvA? Tell me, let me drool, make me want to go in there! And, btw, at what time can you find a decent number of people in there?

I've been there three times... not much going on. If they could ever get numbers up it might work. Last time in probably 45 minutes saw no cons just heard about some 109 or 190s at about 18k.

Well the AvA annoucement stuff will tell ya better than I can, but so far its been a 2 sided conflict, where new things are being tried.

For example, this past map had forward bases that you didnt have to kill a town and capture, you had to drop them on the maproom right on the field. Having the VH right there as well as the base's AAA made it a whole new thing.

The maps they have used so far have been new. Its like the old AW map was.  Right now Italy is up, which is a beautiful map. I hope to plan alot of high alt buff runs in there :)

They are tweaking as they go, finding the weak areas and shoring them up with rules to help make it better.  There are phases of the war. We are currently entering phase 3. If you win a phase, which is done by successfully meeting objectives set by the staff, you get to chose 4 unit types to be added as upgrade for the next phase. The loser gets 3 picks.

For some reason, the teamwork seems better than in the MA. The guys in the fighters actually seem to be there to keep the strike forces alive rather than the normal going up to see what I can kill stuff. Lastnight at A5 on the AW type map we were under attack a full hour by superior forces, and although we finally lost it, it was one heck of a battle. It just seemed like it meant more than in the MA.

I think the reason it meant more is because there is a flow to it in the timeline it has, and gives it more sense of purpose and urgency.

I'm really enjoying it. Now if we could get squads to join a side and hold squadnights there it would really fill up. I suggested that they make a sticky showing what nights certain squads would be in there, so maybe we could make sure sides are somewhat even, and ensure good battles.

Like any arena there are times where one side has the numbers, but with the new rules, objectives can only be met if the losing side isnt way outnumbered. They are really trying to make it work fairly, and fun. Try it out..and bring yer squads in. Join the war! :P

I've actual spent more time in there the last week and a half than the MA's. Lots of great fights and actual objectives for Jabos.

Ive spent 95% of my aces high time the last 2 weeks in the AvA flying axis. Its fun, its more matched up and for the most part theres alot of good sticks in there. its a good relief from the MA.

i went in there the other day did a few missions with the 68th and did some flying around.

i found the missions fun.

while flying around i found that flying at 10k you are way to low for most of the fighters i have seen. most i see fly around 18-20k when you did find low fighters 8-10k or even on the deck i found those fights fun.

the other half of the time i got vulched.

seems to me at lest that the AvA has turned more in to another MA, just with out the numbers.

but i do salute the ones that are there for a fun fight, because those fights are fun.

:(  I would join in... but my computurd isn't capable of pulling off anything more than itunes and internet... sometimes that even fails.
There was once a saying that goes "If you put an infinite amount of monkeys in a room with an infinite amount of typewriters, eventually they will produce something worth reading."

The internet has proved this wrong.

Same pointless waste of time its always been, now with encouraged scorewhoring and landgrab.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.
