Well the results are in... and it looks like Obama knocked the scunion off of Clinton in the South Carolina primary...

This is turning into one of the wackiest election cycles ever.:O

Good fun

What does this mean for Edwards?  Not winning SC means he's out if you ask me.

The blacks in my State are some of the most racist in the world.  It is no surprise they voted for someone who belongs to a Black Supremacist Church.  Hillary was counting on it to further her agenda.

No real news there, just the margin of win

I do find the media love of him interesting.  He's done one bill and his only major stand is against the Iraq War.  His voting record of "Present" (pre-Senate days) is something I think that will haunt him.

Watching Bill Clinton lash out and turn folks off daily is getting interesting.  Even Sen Kerry points out to his difficulty telling the truth  :huh

Yeah this is the wackiest election year that I can remember.

But unfortunately it appears that the Dems will continue their destructive ways-by that I mean the party keeps backing the wrong horse.

At the convention I'll bet Hillary will get the nomination but IMHO she has no chance of winning a national presidential election-so we will get stuck with the Rep nominee as our next Pres.

I live in Oregon so by the time I get to vote-it's all pretty much all said and done which sucks. I would really like to vote for Edwards and have it count. All I can hope for is that on super Tuesday Hillary falls to third and Edwards edges cloer to Obama-Oh Well

And he beat Ms Clinton by a margin of 2 to 1.   The biggest margin of victory yet.

Edwards did have more white women vote for him that Obama.   White women in South Carolina do not seem to like Obama, for some odd reason.

However, Obama does have Obama Girl:

I fear the voters in the U.S. are rapidly losing the ability to make rational, common sense decisions.  The trendy compulsion to make "politically correct" voting selections raises the real possibility that a complete tyro could become the next president.

Obama is holding his cards close to his vest...yet I believe that he is more than just another leftist political gift-giver.  It's just a hunch of course, but I believe his inaugural address will be full of promises aimed at the gimme crowd:  "Ask not what you can do for your country....ask what your country can do for you!"

His programs....will break the bank.  Tax rates wil grow to the point where they will be more than just burdensome.  The goal of "reining in" the evils of "big business" will place shackles on the economy, and there will be an assault on the second amendment unlike anything ever seen in the past.

Did I go over the top?  I can't tell....been having a bad week.

Since the media is not giving attention to other candidates regardless of how well they are doing I dont know where to find out how Ron Paul is doing.

Any clues?

The fact that you aren't hearing about him ought to be a clue to how he's doing.

I liked her video at the top of the list. Obama defintely outdanced Bush but I noticed she avoided showing Mitt or Mike dancing. Of course being a Southern Baptist it might be difficult to find a pic of Huckabee dancing. Southern Baptists don't even have sex, it's too much like dancing.  ;)

Obama is a product of the Illinois progressive Democratic machine. He was being groomed by party leaders and has followed the party line in lock step with his mentor, Dick Durbin. The Illinois party is particularly progressive -- in the worst of ways -- and is comparable to the democratic operations in California and Massachusetts. As I explained to an Obama supporter at a party last weekend, his talk of being the candidate of change is just that -- talk -- and if you would feel comfortable voting for Dick Durbin for president then by all means vote for Obama. That provides, IMO, a good guide for how this guy without a record will govern.

While he wasn't around Illinois politics long enough the be on the formal indictment watch, it will be interesting to see how Hillary plays the Tony Rezko card. It will take some work to cut through the media fawning and the mental resistance of many of his supporters who just really want him to be the golden boy riding in to town on his magic unicorn to save the day.

Obama hasn't been trying to run as a 'black' candidate, as Jesse or Al did/would, because you can't become president promising to elevate 15% of the population above the others., so wisely, he has tried to avoid any mention of it. But Clinton injected it (mostly Bill), and Hillary got her arse handed to her---but there might have been an effect, because Obama had only 25% of the white vote in SC, (vs.  36% in Iowa)
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
