I suggest going to see the new rambo if you have not already. If not its a worthy rental. His age dosnt show to bad in this one compared to his last Rocky. Very gory, as it should be. Plot sorta sucks, but its rambo. Sad part is theres only one really good explosion (WWII reference with explosion). Had a good ending for rambo to.

  :aok

P.S. If you rent it make sure you listen to it very loud. :D

Stallone has stated that he already has ideas for two sequels inside his mind.

If the movie does good box office, I'm sure Rambo will live on the big screen yet once again.

Perhaps the final Rambo film will be about Al-Qaeda taking a nursing home hostage.   Unfortunately for the terrorists, it will just so happen to be were the elderly Rambo is living out his final years.

Without spoiling the end, it did end with the possibility for more.

But this would be a good way to end the series. But of course the chance of more money means more movies.

It looks like the B movie comedy spoof "Meet the Spartans" beat out Rambo this weekend.   With such a weak opening, this may well be the final song for Rambo.

Any movies staring Carmen Electra is a B movie, right?

Cloverfield also took a huge dive this weekend.   It looks like it was a one week wonder.   Word of mouth must not have been very good.

Here is a news article with the box office results:

I think Rambo will win in the long run. Meet the Spartans was only big because it is riding the coat tails of 300's popularity. As stated in the movie even.

If that is true, then the upcoming 10,000 B.C. may do well at the box office also.  People seem to have an interest in more primitive times, when life was more simple ( although also much more short ).   Perhaps that subconsciously makes us feel good about simply living in the present time??

However, I am counting on Iron Man to be the surprise hit of 2008:

Perhaps Rambo relies on these primitive thoughts and instincts for its popularity as well.

I agree. Seems like Rambo like movies are not so popular these days. People on leaning toward the supernatural and super powers. Also the more primitive times.

Just got back from seeing it. I came away very pleased. Its a hell of a shoot'em up and brutal as hell. If this is the last one the series will end on a good note. :aok :aok
