It would be really handy sometimes to be able to mark the map, and have that mark be visible to squad mates.

"Lets meet here X" and everyone sees.  Or "Enemy CV last seen here X" and the squad knows where to head.  "Enemy tank here X"  etc.

Right now we all just click our mics and look on the map for the bouncing dot...  A rally point would really be a better way to handle this.

Yes it would be nice to set permissions for "Rally Points" throughout the squad. I would love it to set Last Seen locations on CVs and such.

Are you aware you can build and join missions while in flight?

Build a mission, set waypoints to where you want a rally point to be and then folks can look at the mission and see the rally point.

This can all be done after launch.

You can set your start time some time in the future so you don't have to worry about it getting deleted.

Yes.  I'm talking about just a simple marker on the map.  Something simple that you could do like just "Shift click" on a spot on the map and a dot appears for your squad to see.  Maybe have the option to name or or give it a number designation.  Or maybe a key combo you could push and a point is made on your current location.

Nothing complicated, just a simple way to get your squad to know where X is.  It should be able to be done in 1 second or less lol

Like playing an RTS and clicking on the minimap, the same sort of thing.
