I have a logitech 3d joystick (cheap, bunch of buttons, twisty for rudder) and I just cant get the thing to behave using the AH joystick cal stuff.
No matter HOW much deadband I put in, I can't seem to eliminate the "slop" in the center of the stick.
Many moons ago, circa 1998ish, I recall using a "joystick optimizer" program that some computer-savy-non-neanderthal dude kindly created and published for the rest of us knuckle draggers to use, and it was SWEEET.
My prior stick was the coveted micro sidewinder 3d, yet another cheap twisty stick (I'm seeing a pattern here...) but that darn thing worked well for me, especially after using dudes program.
Since I can't get rid of the slop in the center of the stick, it is constantly spiking and robbing me of precious E that I desperately need to run away from the rest of you bloodthirsty savages in the game.
Anybody know or have this type of program I might be able to use by chance?
