I do my first funeral with The Patriot Guard Riders today. (PFC David Webb)
I consider it an honor and a privilege .
Was wondering if there are any more participating in the Patriot Guard Riders.

I don't, but lots of the folks around here do, including some folks in the small company that I work for. That's a wonderful place for you to ride to Jackal. to you and to PFC Webb

I've been with the PGR for over a year and have been on some missions the last being a WW2 KIA returned from what became East Germany. I missed a welcome home last month for a National Guard unit returnuing from 15 months in Iraq because I was too sick to ride.

Good outfit, great concept and nothing but respect for the fallen and their families.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I have to say that this was a very unique experience that I was proud to participate in.
I will be doing more missions that`s for sure.
It was pretty awe inspiring for me and I`m not easily impressed. This sure impressed me.
Great bunch of riders I met with the Texas PGR.  Hearts are certainly in the right place.
I`m not sure if you could say there is such a thing as a beautiful funeral, but if there is , this was it.
The flag line by the PGR was an  awesome sight.
The military ceremony and 21 gun salute was awesome.
The releasing of the white doves....................all wonderfully done.
The mobile replica of the Liberty Bell was on hand for the tolling. (http://www.proclaimliberty.com)

Will be doing my 2nd mission this Sunday.
A memorial to honor a WWII veteran.
If anyone who has a little time is looking for a way to show some appreciation for those who stand for us, I suggest you look into the PGR.

If I had any money at all, I'd try to get my father out on a ride.  Maybe in a few years.

It's a nation-wide organization, isn't it? I think that no matter where you're at, you're always pretty close to one of their branches.

There roots started in 2005 pretty new M/C. A couple of them ride with the "Vets" out here. I think they are represented in all 50 states.

It looks like I'll be riding in a mission on Saturday morning in Lafayette LA. for a Navy LtJG who died in Italy. I'd much rathe4r be doing an ascort for a unit returning home but no soldier should return home alone under any circumstances.

I was part of a funeral procession last summer where protesters got there before DPS did. Lets just say a DPS sgt told us how proud he was that we didnt kill anyone of em.
The family and friends of the fallen soldier were never aware at the time of the protesters due to ours and others efforts to keep them away from the funeral.
