Won't be long until the Parliment changes out white wigs for rags on their heads.

The Archbishop is talking about allowing British Islamic authorities to rule on areas of civil law (divorce, family disputes, commercial disputes etc) where both parties agree in advance to submit to the ruling of the tribunal. British Orthodox Jews already have the same thing, it's called the Beth Din.

Keep believing that... you'll be okay.  Kiss football goodbye. Your fields will be full of death.

Just keep saying "No Friends like the Talibans."

I'll just keep my guns at the ready.

i am really confused, i thought "civil" law pertained to the government, not religion.  On the second thought, you are all subjects of the crown.

There was brilliant poet, named "minus", that used to post on this bbs.  I contemplate the meanings of his various writings on a daily basis.  It is zen.

An example of his work can be found here.

To be here is to be nowhere.  To be nowhere is to be here.  In a long drawn out circle your journey never ends, and it never begins.

no he didnt.

The full text of the lecture is here, and his BBC interview is here. The members of the general synod who are calling for his resignation should imho resign themselves, because as they plainly didnt understand his lecture (or even read it,) they are not qualified to be making high level decisions in the church.

hehe and that really is the most beautiful description of malware ive ever heard. poetry indeed :aok
