OK. Unfortunately I could not find the pics of the P38 Vs the Halifax incident.
I do however have a couple of contemporary accident photos.
The first are of a pair of F/A-18's that collided during manoeuvres.


The next two are of a Beech Baron that caught a Cessna wheel to the cockpit.


I'll see if I can find any from WWII aircraft to post later.
