GV drivers

Ok I know this is predominantly an air combat game and that there aren't many that enjoy the vehicles as much as I do, but I would like to see a change in how GVs work.
Ideally, it would be great fun to be able to crew one up like the bombers can but that's probably going to need a lot of recoding, so as a lesser wish just let me have driver controls from any seat in a vehicle.  We can already steer, at least those of us with rudders.  Now all I need is a "Go" button, a "Stop" button and access to the gearshift.
I would like to see a commander's overide for the turret too.  That allows the guy on the pintle mount or on top of the turret to grossly position the gun before hopping into the gunner's seat.
I think this would make GV ops more realistic since tank commanders have historically had these controls, or similar, on armored vehicles, even if it only amounted to the TC telling the driver "move out" or the gunner "come left".  I rode tanks in the Army in the 80s and thats pretty much how it works with a full crew.
R2, did we just blow up a gas station?

You can accept a gunner in a GV, just like buffs.

Yep.. Even (or especialy) something as simple as 4 cardinal directions to remote the turret to from the other positions.

Other GV improvements worth considering:

I've tried that a couple of times and not had any success.  The next time I play I'll try it again though...

You must be in the driver's position to accept a gunner.

Not quite.  You get pinned in the position you are when you accept player.  I think its a bug, because it makes nosense, but it's the way it works.

On the contrary, you must be in the driver's position, otherwise both players get stuck and you often can't use the guns. Yes, it is a bug, but I see no point in telling people to do anything that causes them to have more problems.

It is true though that you are stuck in the driver's position as AH won't allow more than one gunner in either bombers or vehicles.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

The old Air Warrior game allowed you to fully man the guns on a buff.

I remember flying on B-17's in that game with much nostalgia.   If you had 3 gunners on a B-17, they became very formidable, as you could have the ball and top turrets, as well as the tail fully manned, while the pilot could still maneuver.

Not feasible today...

Another good improvement would be to give the gunner-observer turret control via the rudder while in the pintle gun/commander position.

If you are in a bomber formation, you can have a gunner and gun yourself one of the drones.
In gvs its a mess, it should be fixed to allow the driver to change positions.
