BTW I played on the first jack's auto repair softball team when i was 16  and I was #16, with Garrison and others. sure miss the people there but not the humidity.

I grew up in rural southern Minnesota and stayed in the metro area after finishing at the U.

It's -13F with -40F wind chill outside as I right this.   The humidity is very low, though -  we would welcome you back, ausmith!   :D ;)

999, I was working up in Vadnais Heights for about a year.  I walked outside one day and 4 B-17's were flying over in formation!  I started dreaming about AH :)  Another day I walked out and at least 20 military helicopters were going over.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

no chit??  Lucky stuff there!!  Surprisingly there isn't a lot of military fly overs and such down here in Florida like there were in Minnesota.  The only time ive seen a C-130 is when i was out at coco beach and they were practicing water rescue with the air force pjs.  I see Crazy horse fly around now and then, but not often.  His hanger is out in kissimmee.  By the way Crazy horse is a P-51D.  Back in Minnesota, id see C-130s flying around, T-6s, the works.

I miss Minnesota! lol

You've got both reserve and Air Guard C-130s at the Mpls/St.Paul airport so those are up all the time.  F-16s out of Duluth and plenty of warbirds with the CAF wing at Holeman field with their B-25 and others.  Anoka still has a bunch including Mustangs and 25s There is a growing collection in Granite Falls that includes a P38L and P40s.  Lots of T-6s about.

And back before they were retired from the job, the B17s were over a lot fighting forest fires up north.   I remember playing first base in a Babe Ruth league baseball game and having the game stop as everyone looked up and a flight of 4 B17s were headed north to the fires.  This was probably 1973
