NOE Lancs and 262's!

Finally got to be apart of those infamous Bish NOE Lanc raids.  After successfully taking one of the island bases in my usual ride, my squaddie and I decided to do something new for the next one (bear didn't have enough perks for one because he sucks:p :p ).

Escorting at the front of the pack.  Slow enough to keep up with the goon though.

Hiding under the Lancaster's.

The rest of the guys.

Base in sight!  Lucky and myself race ahead to see who can get the kill first, I mean protect the bombers.

Sadly he got there first.

Town down and troops running.  Total time from beginning: 1 minute, 15ish seconds.

Coming in to land with the ack on me.

Still coming in, now the ack's on them.:D

Had a fun time, thanks for all of the jokes on the long ride bishops, you know who you are.  I look forward to some more great times.

It's a new super secret SAPP upgrade.  I don't think we're supposed to know about it yet, so don't tell Dan.

Flying low and slow is pretty dangerous in a 262.  I have found however, if you keep your speed around 500mph on the deck, nothing can touch your 262.

I was thinking about it though, if you're going to a base NOE that already doesn't have a lot of people up, or are not to high (2.5/3K or higher) NOE 262's are actually really nice for CAP, as they can generate E like no other, getting up there above any planes taking off, and with their firepower finish them off with one hit.  Really useful actually.:D :D  Combine that with the quick hitting power of the lancs, and a few 110's to finish off those remaining buildings, and if you have the goon close (like we did haha, we escorted it to the base) you can get a cap before the alert even goes off on country.

Lancs with D9 escorts?  How historical.

No no, it's not my fault!  They said it wasn't a big deal and no one would find out!  Dan please forgive me!  SAPP's all I got:cry :cry :cry I'll tell you what, I'll make it up to you.  Let me swap your old blender out for this one.  It's got the latest in gyro-stabilizing.  It'll stay upright even when you're upside down.:p   I know you've been complaining after your landings when you have margaritas on you.

Come on what do you say, let's put this all behind us.

A couple of Hoovers on your wings does not make you untouchable. :D

Dropping a jug from 15K will get you 540-550 for a bit on the deck.....plenty to run down a 262 at cruise.  Done it.
