bullet impact
« on: February 10, 2008, 09:29:41 PM »
A little while ago on one of the occasions I happened to be filming I was in a turn and fired on red. from my position I would have thought death would follow , but no. instead his mate who was lining........ anyway, I went to watch replay and found I had shot from mid of right wing through to the mid of the left wing (impact flashes visible). When I watch replay through his cockpit however nothing registered. I'm not sure where I am going with this more looking for feedback as to possible reasons. I was in an AM6 and red guy was in a LA.

Every hit is NOT a kill shot. Your hit may have pounded his armor around the cockpit....it is modeled in those planes that had it.

The reason you didn't see any hits from his seat, is the film showes your point of view. You can see hit sprites, but its not going to show you the damge, although, I've heard some people say they can see the "blood" for a pilot wound.

Basically, you scored hits, but not enough to take the guy down. Try harder next time  :D

I would have thought I might at least hear 1 of the impacts, but perhaps not. Ok  thank you.
