I feel I must...
« on: February 12, 2008, 09:54:26 AM »
Generally when something goes awry in the AvA for the allies, I login to see lots of posts in here decrying the actions of the evil and malicious axis...

Yesterday after taking the 2nd allied airstart nearly the entire allied force logged off.  Whether to try and nullify the capture, a signal of surrender, perhaps an homage to their prodigious ineptitude, maybe they didn't want to miss America's Top Model, or maybe it was just an amazing freak coincidence...we'll never know.

Anyhow to the allies that stayed.  And a "shame on you" to those who logged.

As per the allied precedent concerning these sort of posts, it's now time for my bereavement to end with a request for action from the staffers..   Without futher ado:

As punishment the staff should take away their Spitfires.

As an Allies, I too was angry.  I was excited with the numbers hoping that the Allies can throw a good counter-offense but that didn't happen.   Leadership is a key-issue for the Allies.  Let me tell you this, Allies did not log off just because things were getting tough, it is that the # you saw last night were not the regular # numbers.  They were mostly visiting MA squads and they had their own squad mission apart from the AvA mission.  As I understood from their mission, they were going to do fighter sweeps and that was about it.  They were going to take down fighter hangers, but were'nt too concerned about capturing bases.  When their squad night was over they as a group just logged off, leaving the regulars.  I was ready freddy with my goon, but I waited and waited and waited and soon poof they all disappeared.

We attempted to take A73 for around 2 hours, when squaddies were starting to log we decided to do one last fighter sweep before leaving. Next time we will make sure to OK our actions with everyone in the arena before we do anything :noid. Better yet, tell us the way you want us to play.

Sure, since you apparently wield such a large squad, a simple message on 200 would have been handy.  " we're headed to another arena".  Problem solved.

Instead, we take a base, and we see numbers drastically changed....what else are we to go on?  The past few weeks of the war have brought out the best and the worst of the AH community....

Sure thing Roid. Private me your phone number so I can get insta-access. The correct way to play is fluid and can change at the drop of a hat.

Always glad to help...

The logging of my squad was not meant to be harmful & you guys are blowing it way out of proportion.  We didn't get the lil handbook of do's and don'ts.

AGAIN, we did not mean any harm.  Sorry if it fluffied shyte up!

How would we even know that you received the message???

We have been told to stay off of 200 because of your side's BS talk. Many salutes, complements and the like have not been returned from the axis from what I and the rest of my squad has seen.

Your sides communication to the Allies up to this point have been FUBAR

So tell me why we should expect anything from the Axis if we don't get replies & usually the backhand comment if we do??  We are new to the AvA and will take our squad to the DA/TA on the drop of a hat to better our squad [3x I've said this].

Unfortunately a squad can make or break the AvA.  With the events that unfolded during the first rounds of the war (milking undefended bases, logging to prevent a legal capture, etc) the innocent withdrawal of your squad instantly looked like "more of the same".

I was posting in jest, making fun of the fact that when the Axis are though to be doing things of ill repute, we get to read about it on the forums...

It wasn't until we actually checked the numbers to validate the base capture that we even noticed your squad was gone...so it really didn't fubar anything.

On the matter of channel 200...  I've never understood people needing to detune 200...  If someone irritates me I just ignore them.  I had a great fight with Nytemaer and Recon7 the other day, we exchanged a hearty and goodjob over 200.  I've vox squelched people before, but never felt the need to detune 200.  But, to each their own.

Sooo, then everyone on this BBS posting about us is in jest or just yours?  There is about three posts about us and the logging of our squad.  Seems like alot of people want their name in lights.

And yes, is was an "innocent withdrawal".

Generally when someone says "I" it is referring to themselves.  I, me, the carbon based being known here as Republic, was posting in jest.  I have no ability to see into the intentions of others...though it would be handy.  If you wish to respond to them, you should do so in their threads.

To be honest, I didn't even know it was your squad that logged, as I said before...wasn't even really aware that you were there, just noticed a large decrease in allied numbers immediately after a base capture.

I usually glance at the roster to see if there's anyone I recognize...hoping to find them in a good fight or making notice that there are goobers (okllok) in the area and be aware that gooberness is to be expected.  Until now I don't think I've ever even had any contact with your squad.  Until you confirmed it was your squad I had no idea who it was, I was just poking fun at the allies in general.

Maybe the Axis should be handicapped by losing their Jets and/or ME110's instead?  You aparently have the advantage in field/intel denial and spy networking going strong as is.:rofl

the side switchers have not once devulged information on the country channel while I've been on.  if they (the side switchers) have acted upon information gathered while on the other team only they can answer.

I don't think any of the dedicated axis players would stoop to that type of game play and I would hope no one on the allied side would either.
