If you actually read that article it is all smoke and mirrors and especially inuendo. Same kind of hack job done repeatedly on Hillary and more recently on Obama.

As an aside, for the 1st time in my lifetime I don't think I'd be terribly dissapointed in any of the 3 top candidates winning the election.

Here is his tax plan.. it gives the most to people who make 36,000 a year to about 120,000.. to me.. this is the middle class.. this is the group who needs it the most.   there is some relief for those under 30,000 but.. face it.. most of them pay very little federal taxes.. almost all get a refund as it is.

http://www.ctj.org/html/mcca00pr.htm

or... http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/John_McCain_Tax_Reform.htm

"Under the plan, the ceiling for the 15% bracket would rise to $70,000 from $43,050 for married couples filing jointly, and to $35,000 from $25,750 for single taxpayers. The effect is to give a $3,504 tax cut to a couple with taxable income of $70,000 or more."

mccain gets an 87.7% rating from Americans for Tax Reform while the democrats running get like a 23%.

He wants to do away with the minimum alternative tax and inheritance theft.

lazs, don't confuse people with facts, what we need is "hope' and "vision"and "change" and "to fight for a better future" and "thirst for a greater america".

That pretty well sums up the makeup for presidential campaign efforts for the last 20 to 30 years.
It`s not about what the candidate will do or has intentions of doing, but more about the dirty laundry of the others. People seem to lap it up like gravy with a biscuit though.
IMO, from what I have seen , the majority of people fall into two groups.
1. Sheep. The ones who can be led down a thorny path naked and can be influenced so easily they offer to walk point. These are willing to pucker up and smooch a behind faster than you can kiss a duck. Clueless.
2. The "Don`t rock my boat" group. Simply put, those who could give a rat`s behind about the country and the direction it is heading as long as they see themselves getting sum monetary gain from it. These are the ones who usualy end up crying in their milk.

I don`t see it changing until people get off their backsides and stand the F up.
That`s not on the horizon as far as I can see.
Democracy is two wolves deciding on what to eat. Freedom is a well armed sheep protesting the vote.

yup.. we have NO CHOICE but to vote for the lesser of two evils...

If we want the less evil than more.    There simply is no other way to look at it.  We can buy time with the greater evil or the lesser.   eventually some candidate who makes sense will show up who has a chance.

In the meantime... you don't go and vote for the witch or the half negro guy unless you are some mush head kid or loser who wants to live off of other peoples backs.. and feel you have no hope of bettering yourself.

Heh. Mishka Gorbachev recently blasted the current state of affairs in russia, basically saying. How can one call russia a democracy when one party controlls the media and muscles any prospective political competition out of the election and maintains a commanding 90 percent of the vote.

Makes one wonder what he thinks of the USA where basically one party (dem-rep party) controls political access to higher offices.
Maybe Carlin is right, the two parties are virtually the same where it really matters, with minor differences to give us the illusion that we have a choice.

Well I've typed it here before. The Republican party would nominate a democrat as a presidential candidate before they would nominate Ron Paul.

Yes very but the thing is all of em will mess up our country economy wise. Yes McCain will keep troops in iraq but he will raise taxes by like 10,000$$ a year and i could be under exaggerating it.

BUT if its McCain and Obama, i would like obama to **** it up for 4 years so that way a conservative who knows what he is doing could fix it all up.

McCain isnt even conservative............

well.. I think some are saying that if you blow your foot off with a shotgun on purpose... that it is for the greater good.

It means that it will be so painful that you will be safer with guns in the future and maybe prevent a worse shooting...

I simply don't buy that logic.   I am saying that a near miss or a lost toe (mccain) compared to a blown off foot (the witch or the half negro guy) is the lesser of two evils.   And a better deal for me.

anglewhatever... how in the hell do you get mccain raising everyones taxes by $10,000 a year???  I think you have him mixed up with the witch or the half negro guy.   Did you look at the sites I linked for his tax plan?

THANK YOU GHOSTH SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME!!!
Just because he was a prisoner in Vietnam doesnt mean that he is fit to run our country. They did that same stuff with John Kerry.
