You girls upset that there isn't a 'women' pilot driving that fighter/bomber of yours?

I know there wasn't any in combat, at least not that I know of... But it just came to mind. lol

Wonder if they'll make it to where you can choose your pilot, before you roll out on your sortie; For the women of AH. (think CT will)

~~~~~~~~
BTW, how many of you women are actually playing AH regularly?
I can think of Betty, TxMom, SheGotYa, LovlyDeath, and MsBehavin...
ty for the thought bmathis...but....i been playin this game for 3+ years now....never really mattered much to me...i luv the game for the game...not for the ugly lil dude that is stuck inside my plane...besides...when i die...he dies hehe
spitfire to a airfield.when she arrived she gave a areobatic demostration before landing in which the whole squadron watched,the squadron leader said the lads faces were a picture of shock when the young lady got out :lol
The first Spit XIIs were delivered to 41 squadron by Women of the ATA.  Of course the pilots of 41 were figuring they were pretty hot stuff, getting the lastest Griffon engined Spit and that it was a tough one to handle.
The first one taxi's in and the ATA gal gets out.  Faces dropped all over the field.
One of those ATA gals, postwar delivering a Spit IX/XVI to Burma
At least in the case of Lily Litvak, the Germans hunted her and killed her deliberately because of who she was.  Her final fight was essentially her vs. a whole unit of Bf109s and though she fought well, they wore her down.  It wasn't like how, say, Brendan "Paddy" Finucane bought it at all.
Yeah...no.  That particular story, while very nice, has been pretty much refuted.  She did have to wait until Boris Yeltsin was sober for a few minutes to get her HSU, though they weren't calling it that anymore.
My personal fav...for obvious reasons...
(Image removed from quote.)
Hero of the Soviet Union, Lt. Natalya Fedorovna Meklin flew 982 night combat missions during the course of World War II in an antiquated U-2/Po-2 biplane. She was later promoted to captain, awarded numerous medals and after the war became a writer.
Doesn't she look a little like Kathy Bates in the Misery movie  :O Only kidding. Women where the test pilots for many of the famous US fighters in WWII. And those planes did an awesome job.
She wasn't awarded one earlier because it was believed she was captured so they didn't award her the HSU.  Think it wasn't until sometime in the 1970s that it was determined she died after being shot down and then sometime in the '90s Gorbachev awarded her the HSU, not Yeltsin.
And except the Soviets, where women did fly combat sorties.
I read some where that the russian women pilots were mostly aces (I cant provide any proof, its just from memory)
I stand corrected.  It was Budanova that had to wait until 1993 for her HRF.
