From the information I have this plane was piloted by Major Wilhelm Herget of I./NJG4. It was painted overall RLM76 With RLM75 mottling on the upper surfaces.

Im not done with it this is just a preview. It still needs the top and bottom wing balkenkreuz, control surfaces also need work, among other things.

RLM 76 is lichtblau, right?

Looks more like white. Could be my work monitor. I'd like to look at it from home (but sucks to be me, eh?)

Nice looking skin .

There were variations in RLM76, but the color used in underside of the default BF-110 skin would be more appropriate.

Make a duplicate layer of the blotches...and blur it for over spray. Then play with the opacity.

This is the shade of RLM76 that is says was used. I compared it from three different sources and what you see on the skin is what I came up with. It may be the differences in our monitors but the colors look just like they do in the color swatches I have.

I guess it's the contrast on my monitor...didn't look like the right color at first, but once I bumped it up, it looks pretty close.

Nice work, TK. It's looking very nice so far. I particularly like the exhaust stains... they look very realistic.

That's a great idea, I'll have to start doing that myself.

Dude, JPG or smaller pics.

I have cable and it took almost a full minute to load.

But aside from the blotches needing to be blurred, me likes.

I have a blured layer in the on the skin I dont know why its disabled. Maybe I didnt save it. Treize the file is under 1MB. Im on POS country 3kb/sec download time dialup and it took me less then a minute to download.

EDIT: Yes seems the blured layer was deleted somehow and I didnt catch it. Anyways heres the skin with it.

Looking good mate.

It must be his image host, that image did load unusually slow for me.

Not a big deal, we still get the image.

That's looks really good Larry. Shame about the stretching on these old skins, but not much you can do about that.

To bypass the stretching, I might suggest either moving/altering the splotches near the spine/nose that *do* stretch.

That way the upper "stretch area" is relatively splotch free.

Or, make a lot more to fill in the missing areas, which would give more of a tiger stripe motif, and not very accurate (IMO)

Must be the host (though BMP takes a long time anyway). I can load a whole page of the "funny pictures" thread faster than one of those screenshots.
