Holden are you white?  I can relate to the Angry White Man (though not being old enough to have done all he's done), but why consider yourself "white", when you're not?  Why would you have to be white to be everything else described in the article?

You don't have to be white to be that man in the article. You don't have to be angry. You don't even have to be a man. You just have to be law abiding, hard working tax paying citizen who gets on with their life to the best of their ability and who simply wants to be left alone to get on with it. That is not an exclusively male or white attitude or indeed American attitude.

It always irritates when white men take on the victim mentality. The reality is that white men for the most part own and run the world. They have most of the money and the power. The fast cars, fast women, fast jets, islands and fat bank accounts. (Not this white man, sadly)  Yet we are a minority. Funny that

I agree that you don't have to be white, or a man, but being angry definitely helps.  I don't think you could do everything the man described has done without an intolerance for trying less than your best, and for suffering less-than-satisfactory state of things.

 I think the white man reference is more cultural than racial.  There a lots of many race types in this country that fit that. Its the type of man, not his color.
