I have a low end cpu (1.7Ghz).

I have been playing on this setup for awhile. I have to turn graphics all the way down 90% of the time. Only time I turn graphics up is when I'm bombing high alt so I can see the targets. Anyways today I was returning from a high alt bombing run and I selected my graphics slider. I turned it down all the way after I re-upped in a fighter. When I hit OK the screen turned almost completely white with a few colors that looked like it was in safe mode. I have uninstalled the game three times and reloaded. It still shows up like a safe mode in the Main startup screen. Frustration is setting in. Any suggestions?
