Here's the things I can think of:
Add B29 as massive perk bomber (the 234 really is quite inneffective).
Add the He111
Add Battleships w/ 16in guns and tons of ack to make carriers as important as they were in the real war. As it is they change hands too easily.
SCORING/STAT CHANGES:
Get rid of the retarded stats like: damage hit percentage in a vehicle and base captures in attack mode. Its meaningless.
Don't make shooting percentage in vehicles include machine gun fire (the guys with the high percentages are simply those that don't use the machine guns to fire at airborne aircraft.
Don't register shots at buildings and ack as misses on the fighter scoring data. Its another quirk in the scoring.
Some more radical ideas:
Base Assists: Allow the person who captures a base to name someone for the 'Assist' or something along those lines. Kind of like an MVP award for getting the base. This person can't be a squadie or themselves. Make this a key stat for fighters, attackers, bombers, and vehicles. He doesn't have to name anyone but the option should be there. It will make the game really fun as everyone tries their hardest to help out in the base capture.
Infantryman:
Add infantryman to the game at the squad or platoon level. So one guy can control a group of like 40 or 60 guys and move them across the map as a single unit. Maybe have an antitank weapon, a sniper, and some supplies included in it.
UBoats: add subs to the game, maybe they can go after see convoys that would function just like the land truck convoys and trains. The navy bombers could chase em around the map in a game of cat and mouse.
Destroyers: if you add subs, add destroyers that can seperate from a fleet to hunt them down. If will add a whole new fun demension to the game.
Thats all I can think of for now but I'm sure I'll come up with some others.
