Silly embargo/blockade whatever period.

Has to be the least effective one in history imo and should have been ended decades ago.

Yup, but even then i doubt it would have had that much effect as long as the soviets helped anyway. As far as i know Cuba has all the natural resources need to sustain itself besides the soviet arms that is.

Yeah I doubt this will make any difference over there, his brother will most likely take over and he'll just keep the country under the same oppressive regime.

Kinda makes you wonder why the US didnt liberate the poor and oppressed people of Cuba a long time ago. Its really a short hop compared to other oppressed people stuck in the middle of the middle east ;)
