Laptop question

When I don't have it plugged in to the A/C, my touchpad works, when I have it plugged in, it doesn't. Any ideas?

Have you called tech support for your laptop to see what they say? That doesn't sound like normal operation to me.

Some laptops have one profile for working at your desk with a monitor, separate keyboard and mouse with another profile possibly without all these when on the road/battery. It's usually part of the battery conservation settings.
