Well one has to ponder the thought of does a person really want to poke the tiger in the eye or not?  We are but guest here in Skuzzy's house and he makes the rules and we can either live with them or try and poke his eye out and get banished to the netherworld.  I really enjoy how quiet the place has been without the aforementioned person's rants and raves.

Word:  He been PAWNED by the Skuzzinator!:aok

'Pawned' is just internet-newspeak. Kinda think of it as 'owned'.

'Png' stands' for Persona Non Grata. It's latin, it roughly translates' to you are unwanted as company. It's used as the official way of designating someone as not being allowed to post, or participate in forum discussion's from the moment of the 'png'.

Regardless of "poking the tiger in the eye," or any details of the particular final event --

In talking about forum behavior, HT has said he thinks of the BBS as  his "living room." Over time, can anyone say Storch has presented himself as a guest who'd be welcomed there? On the whole, he's been more like the boorish coworker that you'd try to keep from finding out about the party..He's openly said that he thrives on making people angry, creating conflict. ..

So the PNG's no surprise to me either.

Its amazing that since this is the case his money is evidently good enough that he can still play their game.  A double standard is it not?

You can pay to play the game and not be allowed to post here, but you can also post here without paying to play the game.

And you would be the coworker who talks behind others backs when they have no opportunity to defend themselves?

If you're going to make a quotation, make sure you know what it's really trying to say. You're quoting what Jesus said to the accusers (These guys  were, not incidentally, more interested in trapping Christ in an "unlawful" act of mercy than in anything the woman had done. The incident was more of a political dirty trick than an ethical dilemma.) After the accusers realized the tables had been turned, they backed out of the situation by running away. After they were gone, he said to the woman, "Go and sin no more."

If you think about it, the point isnt just humility. Yes, the story shows that self righteoudness judgmentalism is repugnant in those who have been shown mercy themselves. Just as importantly, though, if we've messed up and are given God's mercy, we're supposed to grow in the right direction, to become more of what we should be.

You're right, we've all melted down one way or another. We've also seen how things work in AH -- if you realize you're out of line, there isnt a problem, and you don't get permasquelched or PNGd.  It seems likely to me that Skuzzy looked at Storch's overall pattern when he made the call.

:lol  Nicely done...

Nonetheless, not exactly talking behind his back -- I've posted similar stuff in the past in Storch's threads, and had the discussions on channel with him. And, if you look, I never said a thing until his allies defended him first. I'm responding to the defense -- a very weak one -- that claims the last straw was a very, very little straw!

So not gossiping, and not attacking the helpless. In fact, I'd llove to listen to the conversation where you tell Storch that he's helpless and defenseless...

Seems to me that we pay to play the game, and that's exactly what a PNG'd or text-banned person gets. When you sign up, the TOS (the fine print of the subscription, or the Rules on the BBS) explain the contract you're entering...and since that includes treating others with at least minimal respect, there's nothing surprising about having access altered if you break your side of the deal.

Yet the behavior which gets you PNGed here occurs nightly in the game.

Simaril,
why do you assume you know what other people are thinking or feeling. maybe you should let them express their own feelings and thoughts??

finding the need to define my thoughts with your adlibs and assumptions is one of the problems of this forum.

i only speak for myself when i say that i can explain myself, if asked, rather then reading one of your ongoing rants that lasts half a page about what you think the definition of what i wrote might be.

thanks and have a nice day :)

PS.   Long Live Storch!!
