Overdoing This Weather/Night Business?

I must be in the minority because I love fighting fighter-fighter when it's dark. I also enjoy fighting in the full noon sunlight.
 Aw. Hell.
I just realised that I, personally, like variety and that GumbyDamnIt...I must be be one hell of a pHr34k!!

Maybe the darkest part of the whole Time-of-Day thing, sunset, dead of night and sunrise, lasts for bout 20 minutes. The rest is regular daylight.

Yup, hours and hours of daylight broken by about 20 minutes of darktime.

I thoroughly enjoy the variety of lighting effects in AH, for several reasons:

1. It looks cool!
2. It enables a "stalemated" strat war to be busted loose by a suitable timed buff raid.
3. It changes the whole feel of the arena, and confers a sense of time.
4. It provides some great anti-buff "hunts" for fighter pilots.

I wish night, in particular, were about 15 minutes of total darkness.

I do like the way night and the clouds are done, the night effect is awesome, it just kills playability for me (no its not an FPS issue), I don't enjoy chasin something I can barely see, and I can't be bothered to crank my brightness and gamma to get an edge.
I have noo problems with the clouds though
