What in God's name is holding the LA 7 together?? When I fly that hunk of junk, it rattles and clatters and shakes like it's coming apart at the seams. It's no wonder the Eastern Bloc fell....

The La is actually quite a tough airplane. What your hearing, probably, is the wing slats. They are positioned at the leading edge of the wing. When you near a stall, the slats pop out, and keep the wing from stalling. This also makes the plane shift around a bit.
109's have slats, too. I think thats it though.

Yeah but it sure is fast. And thats what I like, an airplane that can get you out of trouble as fast as you got into it. Especially since Im always getting into trouble.

Yeah it is fast, and people still want the LA7R with a rocket on the back...
