Yes looks good, but like the rest of the Total War series I wouldn't bank on anything as far as multiplayer.

I've heard it gets repetitive after a while like Sid Meier's Pirates.  What's you take on it John?

Their web site isn't too up front on whether it requires a subscription or not.  Is it a one time cost at the store or are there monthly fees also?
Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.

PotBS has the most vicious PvP I've seen in awhile. The economy is dead simple and doesn't require grinding. There's no end-game raiding like most MMOs. The map battle plays similar to Aces High. It's not really gear or level based... they exist... but at level 10 it's possible to sink a level 50 if you're smart and careful. I consider it an excellent game. It's not for everybody, but it's perfect for me and some guildies.

Hit us up! Blackbeard server, French faction (more targets that way), The Mafia Guild (http://www.themafia-guild.com).

i am. really wish the non-ship combat didnt suck so much. ship combat is okay, a bit more engaging than sid meiers pirates...doesnt hold a candle to tides of war though.

i'm still to low of a level to have a opinion on anything else...but SOE has already pissed me off massively...what kind of system lets people who havent payed a cent play for 2 weeks free, no hassle...and people who have dropped 50 bucks on it have to set up a paying account before letting them have there free 1 month.

most subscription games are like that.. We have it easy with AH2 and the free D/L. Think of WoW, Evercrack ect ect.. they all charge 4 the software plus the subscription.
