write combining
« on: February 23, 2008, 07:29:22 AM »
Can someone remind me what 'write-combining' is and if it should be on for AH? Currently, it is enabled on my system...

I'm drawing a blank on what is and the net hasn't been too terribly helpful in this regard.

Thanks in advance...

AH doesn't need this to run. This basically sets up system memory to be optimally used as a frame buffer for video cards to store data until it's needed.

As long as you're not having any problems, leave it.
