ww1 sim: over flanders fields
« on: February 23, 2008, 05:05:27 PM »
does anyone play this mod for cfs3?  I used to play it a couple of years ago and have just seen this
video    . It's looking pretty good.  It was a pretty decent mod back then, but now it's looking pretty spectacular.  I'm curious if anyone has played it recently.  It may be worth looking for my lost cfs3 cd:)

Thanks, that was great. I know nothing about CFS3, or these add ons. Can you still find CFS3? Is there online play? Subscription?

Just ordered CFS3 off Amazon for $9.99 after seeing this.  I'll be using the Over Flanders Field add on, as soon as I get it.

I guess angrist just answered your question if you cna still by cfs3.  OFF is single player predominantly, but there is multiplayer, i'm sure i can recall playing it online.  No subscription, it is multiplayer in the same style as il2.

Longest demo I've ever seen.  Makes me yearn for Dawn of Aces with its Zeps.

OK, so got CFS3 in today and DL'd/Installed all of Over Flanders Fields....

All I can say is.....WOW:aok

The graphics for the mod are great!

I need to get my x52 config'd better, and get used to how WW I birds maneuver, but man is this sweet!!

Personally I have always been a Manfred von Richthofen fan, and I love WW I German planes.  So this is really sweet for me.

I encourage anyone who enjoys WW I plane sets and history to check this out!

Gee, thanks. I needed some one to come along and push me over the edge. Especially when I barely get to play AH as it is. Now I'll have to order MS CFS3 tonight.:furious

Any screenshots? Every time I try to view the movie it freezes up my computer for some reason.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

edit...

Took a look at the film and checked out their forums and so on. It does look good, but I can't understand why they put that much effort in such a old game.

Would have thought the newest IL2 would have been a more suitable platform to start with.

Eh. Glad I didn't waste my time searching then. Dawn of Aces looked much better.
