I think it kind of leaves a bit of "PURITY" to the defending..One usually knows they wont get perkies,but they do it..WHY?

A.A CV is under attack and needs to be DEFENDED..
B.A BUDDY is under attack in bombers,and needs HELP.
C.A BASE is under atttack,and needs defended..

PURE DEFENSE,and to the guys who have taken the time to get good in these guns,and who go there knowing they wont get any points for the kills,but it helps the "WAR EFFORT" of their respective side..

i think all it does is let ya pat yerself on the back for killin the vulchin bastages that were too stupid to take out all the manned guns in their 5 runs to kill all the auto acks.........

You don't die in ack guns, period. You tower out safely every time.

The reason there's no real score for ack guns, I believe, reflect's the reason they are there. To help prevent vulching, or other gaminess.

The incentive is to fly; If you make manned acking a cohesive part of the score, then every flak gun in the game is occupied by people who would otherwise be flying.

Plus, unlike aircraft, there is a limited amount of Flak guns, only so many a field, and when those are destroyed, they don't instantly respawn, they are down for at least 15 minutes. IMHO, that's why they aren't scored.
