As if the game's graphics and environments aren't sterile enough?  Let's make it even more empty and dry, nevermind the fact it'll remain cartoonish in realism for any length of foreseeable future.

No night, no clouds, no storm fronts, no lightning, no weather of any sort besides some sprite tricks on generic clouds, no turbulence... And you guys want the sky to get even more void...

no I want all the weather I can get, I just dont want a planet-sized moon which looks stupid. in the same way as I dont want clouds shaped like sheep or 40k mountains made of polished steel. its for more realism, not less.

I would like to see HTC look more at small little visual effects.

I don't buy into the FPS killer argument.  Not asking for amazing visuals just little touches here and there that WILL make a difference, the finer details that people take notice of and think  "hey thats cool, no other games have that"

The last terrain update did a little of that.  The windmills, little farm houses all nicer than a generic terrain.  I'm sure we could list 10 little things that wouldn't require much work and then get implemented.

Oil, fuel leaks, pilot wounds, heat, cloud thickness, waves on the beach, jet exhaust, explosions,

Again i'm only wishing here small things not massive changes that will disrupt the game.

Matador, it's just where I got the pics from.  My father's from Venezuela and a while back almost took the job as chief of the solar observatory in the Canaries.. That's as close as I got :P
Let me know if you've got any good links to astronomy pictures on the net :)

RTHolmes no tiny moon, sorry.  I think that would look more stupid.  It's just a game.

I'm so against this, it's not funny..  We're not getting some tiny invisible moon.  We already lost night, that's enough.

nooo i dont want a tiny moon :( I want a realistic looking one, and it can look pretty big at certain times of year and atmospheric conditions. in AH it just looks like its dropping out of orbit and were 2 hours away from a cartoon apocalipse

And I think that idea's funny - that changing the moon's size is going to make any real difference to how cartoonish the game is.
"Realistic" my foot :lol  It's a game.
