Probably one of the most famous Spitfires of the BoB period was P9495, coded DW-K, No. 610 (County of Chester) Sqn, Biggin Hill, July 1940.

Standard upper camo in the B scheme with one of the non-standard under surface colours, in this case BS381 No 1 Sky Blue (Duck Egg Blue).  Underwing roundels were not carried  and the 49" diameter A1 fuselage roundels are the best I could get them considering the pixel bleeding where the fuse meets the belly on the model...

This was the second of two DW-Ks, the first, N3289, was shot down over Dunkirk on 29 May 1940 while P9495 was written off due to battle damage on 12 August 1940.
