Nah.  He just used F3 view.  After a while you get used to it.

Yep.  Later they modified it with at first an open top and then the closed all the way like you see on the H and J.  I do believe that it was a single 50 in Quitch though as all the photos I can find of early 25s with modified tails show single 50s.  The twin 50s were the H and J models.

Here is a photo showing Quitch's tail.  No guns showing but the opening is there and it looks like there might be a small bubble transparency on top.  I'd believe Quitch only had a single 50.


And a photo of a Marine early model 25 showing the next step with the open tail with a fairing to cut off the wind but not fully enclosed yet.
