Question About 251
« on: February 27, 2008, 06:58:19 PM »
Ive seen a lot of threads so far but none answer my question (as silly as some may find)

As far as I know the front of the vehicle reads Grossdeutschland Divison (represented by the helmet) Infantry (By the box on the left) and Half-Tracked (Indicated by the wheel and track below the box) and Second Division? (not sure about the 2) But did these vehicles have a Tactical display aswell? such as Recon, Artillery, Pioneer, Transport, Signals? I guess it would fit in Artillery. Anyway probably a silly question but thought id ask anyway. Thanks HT awsome stuff!

The skin is of a basic infantry carrying 251/1 operated by the Grossdeutschland Panzer Grenadier division at Kursk. The AH 251 will be able to run without the rockets attached so there was no need to make the skin an actual "Stuka zu fuss" version. I looked at some schemes for rocket firing 251s but they were either boring, an Ausf D, or there was insufficient data to skin it accurately.

I guess when choosing weapons loadout, something like:

 - 10 Troops
 - 1 Airfield Supply
 - 10 GV Supplies
 - 6 280mm Rockets @ 45°
 - 6 280mm Rockets @ 23°

You can find this on the general discussion called "SDKFZ-251, what are these on the side?"

The rockets Will be in option from what i have heard. If you do opt for the rockets you will not be able to Carry troops or cargo. Also with the SDKFZ-251 it has a vehicle supp already attacked to if. So when you fire the rockets you can resupply your self.
