I'll have the DVR set, I know that. Looks like it'll be an interesting way to kill an hour or two. And they're running it with "minimul commercial interruption" supposedly too.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Brought to you by "Enterprise" Car Rental.  Now this is effective use of advertising dollars.

It's times like this that I'm (almost) sorry I don't have television service.  Almost, but not quite.

Complied with FSO, Payday, and just the simple fact it is Friday to begin with may put it in running with the greatest Friday EVER!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

The founder of Enterprise car rental was a fighter pilot aboard the Enterprise during WW11

"Later, in 1969 Taylor renamed the company Enterprise Leasing Company in honor of the U.S.S. Enterprise aircraft carrier on which he served in World War II."

Should be nice unless they do the usual histroy/amnesia channel thing and repeat everything over and over after a commercial break.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

One of the biggest tradigies was the scrapping of the Enterprise after the war.

She was slated to be saved as the first "Memorial" but it just never worked out. Halsey himself was at the head of the drive to save her.

Parts of her do still exist. She was broken up in Kearney NJ and the engineer (I dont recall his name) who executed her demise knew the signifcance of what he was doing, photographing the entire operation.

Her fan plate with the words E N T E R P R I S E was carefully cut off and is in the outfield of the little league field in River Vale NJ (Where the ship-breaker engineer was from).

Some of Her Portholes were installed on the Nuke Enterprise CVN-65. Her bell is at Anapolis and is wrung when Navy scores a TD. The football stadium at Anapolis has "Enterpise Tower" which was supposed to have her distinctive mast attached to it but, it was never installed.

Teak from her deck was also salved and given to members of the Enterprise association by the ship breaker (again I cant recall his name right now)

There is a really excellent book called Enterpise/Big-E CV6 that chronicles her history. I have it but, am on the road and dont have the authors name or ISBN since its home.
