OMG I was flying yesterday,and everyone was complaining about there joystick situation ,how bad off they were etc. One guy says he's flyin with a mouse. So popeye come on and says "I dont even have a comp ,I just whistle into the phone".
I think I laughed for 20 mins, man it has to take some real tallent to fly that way

I uses to make ungodly noises on the phone to knock my dad's modem offline so I could make a call...... <sigh> memories.

just the thought of some guy with a phone in his hand, whistlin as much as he can ,and the interpeting the squeal comin back the other way..... oh man,it still cracks me up

When I worked for the phone company (before most people had ever heard of a modem), there was a story going around that some blind guy had figured out how to whistle a tone that would connect him to long distance equipment, for free calls. The story went that the company didn't want bad publicity prosecuting a blind guy, so they hired him.

Don't know if any of it is true, but it makes a good story.
