You said it RPM. I talked to my dad in Abilene, Texas, Sunday. He said the same thing.

Yeah the weather in Oklahoma is crazy. One day its 32* the next its 70* then its 45* with freezing rain and the next day its 75* with Tornado warnings and then the next day its snowing and tmrws high is in the high 40s and the rest of the week is high 60s and some chance of rain.

Are you tired of your same boring old weather Billy? [billy] Yess :( Will then Billy just move on down to one of your local central states and witness a week of all sorts of weather, starting off from a nice 68* party cloudy day to a 22* ice storms that turns into a 80* sunshine family enjoyment day to a 40* cold front that turns into a tornado storm in less than 24 hours and destroys your new home you just bought a week ago! [billy] Geeese mister that sounds like fun  :aok

I don't know if you have mesquite trees in Norway, but they are the true indicators of Spring in Texas. Fruit trees and bushes may bloom like crazy, but until you see a mesquite tree bloom, the last frost has not happened in Texas.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Just googled it and i dont think its in our fauna. With the climate change then who knows.. maybe we get them and palm trees soon :D

Best indicator of spring here is wimmin in _very_ little clothing giving you that "im out of hibernation... come get some" look :)

-edit- Typo... herbination is something COMPLETLY different, but still relevant for some :rofl

We kinda dodged the bullet there, RPM.....the forecast was for thunderstorms changing over to snow overnight (this was for night before last).....when the cold front hit, the wind changed immediately from the south to the north, gusting hard, maybe a few rain drops....no snow, but the wind kept getting higher and higher, with sustained winds of 60mph and frequent gusts ranging from 75-90mph.  Temps were in the low 30's, who knows what the wind chill was.  Had to shut down for almost two hours cause working conditions were just too dangerous.  Went through two derrickmen as they fought to pull the stands of drill pipe back into the derrick against that wind.  What is "normally" a 4.5-5.5 hour job (tripping 11K feet of pipe out of the hole) turned into a 10 hour one.
Whenever the weathermen forecast "breezy" days, I automatically add 15-20mph to their forecasts and am usually pretty close to actual conditions.....lol!

has been 10+ for most of feb had nearly a whole week of sunshine.

Been a bit colder over the last few days but surprisingly warm for this time of year.  Seems like we are getting milder, warmer winters whilst America gets the watermelon end of the stick.

Fine by me  ;)
