It could be cool if you could up a Kingfisher, our something similar, from a naval task force and direct fire from the cruisers/capital ships in the task force.
Something where you can get above a town, a base, etc... spot targets from the plane and control fire. Not exactly sure how it could be done well...probably have to slave 1 or more turrets to the airplane under control. Zoom in and mark targets...
Could be very fun to watch....
