Any way what if HTC made it so that you could airdrop troops to act as a defensive force. initally when the troops land instead of running to the nearest maproom in range they could just be stationary gun turrets with their time in game being limited to the ammunition dropped to them. they would only be a threat to other troops and lightly amoured GV's, later on HTC could make it so that they move towards the nearest nme troops

Yes it would make taking a base harder, but it would add a new element to the game and increase the use of the C47.

Important bases could be prepared for an incomming attack.

The ground troops would pose no real threat to furballers and would add to the ground battle IMO

So what do yall think

Well it would be a good twist, but i wouldnt get my hopes up if it dont fly or shoot somethin down HTC wont give it a minutes consideration. They would have to keep them goontards from runnin in a straight line everywhere they go.Theres been alotta good ideas put out there but few get any consideration to be included.

and then all the BBS would fill up on how people just up C47s and flood the town with troops to kill other troops i can just see it now.

But really, I could care less about the 'game' in the sim, and I would prefer HTC spend time on other areas of development.

Initally they would not move. just become a stationary auto ack gun. with calibar and ROF matched to the troop type.

HTC would not have to impliment code for movement and it would allow the community to experience and respond to the change in game play.

and you could drop three man squads from the jeep.

C47-s could fly information and drop 30 combat troops...

um yeah i know its a lot of work and that HTC had more important issues on their plate, but It just sounds like a fun change.

So I um will just leave it at that....

Heyyyyyyy Mussie, sounds like a neat idea. As it stands now you can counter a botched drop with friendly troops(you know, shoot one of the bad guys troops). Why not take it one step further and have a battle with them:aok
